SiriusDecisions is holding their first Technology Exchange event in just a few weeks on November 19 – 20th at the Grand Hyatt in San Francisco. Given the abundance of technology companies in the Bay Area focused on B2B lead generation, marketing and sales, I’d say they’re on to something.
In reviewing the agenda, nearly every session looks pretty solid. For data-driven marketing and sales folks, I’ve selected my top four to check out:
1. Specificity Over Scale: The Future of B-to-B Sales, Marketing and Product Technology
With trends like Account-Based Marketing taking hold, marketers are making strides towards micro-targeting efforts and focusing on microsegments of prospects. A lot of what predictive analytics vendors are offering today revolves around this concept so this opening keynote session be a strong opener to the 2-day event. Jay Famico and Jason Hekl of SiriusDecisions will present.

2. Sirius Directions in Technology: The Demand Quadrant
I’m more intrigued by the part of this session that will take a look at what demand technology SiriusDecisions sees on the horizon for the next 12 to 24 months. With the exponential growth of technology vendors, I would hope we’d see some move towards consolidation and integrated platforms. The presenters are Jen Horton and Jill Stanek.
3. Does Your Organization Really Need that New Technology?
As a nice segue from the session above, this session presented by Bruce Brien and Gil Canare hits the point head on: do you really need more point solutions? Or integrated platforms built to solve marketing and sales challenges?

4. Analytics: Proficiency and Application in B-to-B Sales, Marketing and Product
The subject matter of this session, presented by Kerry Cunningham, seems like a “101,” but who couldn’t use a refresher once in a while on how to leverage data for tracking your sales and marketing efforts?
